I failed my exams

Have you failed an exam? That happens, and it is usually not a problem. That’s what resits are for. Just be careful not to let too many exams pile up, and keep your study schedule realistic.
For example:
-
3 exams + one resit = perfectly fine
-
3 exams + 3 resits in one block = not realistic, and it is likely to cause even more study delays
Have you failed or been unable to take several exams due to special circumstances? Are you concerned about your BSA (binding study advice)? Select the option below that best suits your situation.
Inform your study advisor or student counsellor
Inform your study advisor, who is the first point of contact within your programme for personal guidance and advice on study planning, study choice, BSA standards, special circumstances, and study delays. In some cases, the study advisor will refer you to a student counsellor.
The student counsellor is not affiliated with any particular programme or faculty and is therefore the point of contact for all University of Groningen students seeking advice and support in relation to personal circumstances, disabilities, or other study-related issues that you are unable or unwilling to resolve within your programme. You can discuss your personal situation with the student counsellor and find out about available financial (and other) arrangements, facilities, and resources.
