Registration as subsidiary course student

Students at other institutions of higher education can enrol in a subsidiary course at the University of Groningen.


Registration as subsidiary course student

You can enrol in the minor in the following manner:

  • Register before 1 September via Studielink for the degree programme. Please note: Select the option 'Advanced-year' for 'Start as'. When creating an account, in most cases your personal data will be verified automatically.
  • Fill in the first part of the form Admission to subsidiary course Bachelor or Master.
  • Submit the form at the Education desk or student administration of the faculty where you want to take courses.
  • Request the proof of payment of tuition fees (BBC) from the another HBO/WO institution you are enrolled in. In most cases you can request this via Studielink. If your educational institution can deliver the BBC only digitally, the document can be emailed directly to sia rug.nl by the student administration of your institution.

The Board of Examiners or Admissions Committee of the faculty will determine whether you qualify. If you can be admitted, the Board of Examiners or Admissions Committee will fill in the second part of the form and send this with the other items to the department Student Information & Administration.

After the department Student Information & Administration has received the items and your request for registration, you will be registered for the minor at the University of Groningen.

Reregistration as subsidiary course student

You can enrol again in the subsidiary course in the following manner:

  • Reregister before 1 September via Studielink for the degree programme. Please note: Select the option 'Advanced-year' for 'Start as'.
    Fill in the first part of the form Admission to subsidiary course Bachelor or Master.
  • Submit the form at the Education desk or student administration of the faculty where you want to take courses.
  • Request the proof of payment of tuition fees (BBC) from the another HBO/WO institution you are enrolled in. In most cases you can request this via Studielink. If your educational institution can deliver the BBC only digitally, the document can be emailed directly to sia rug.nl by the student administration of your institution.
