Mentioning the name in communications
Possibilities in mentioning the name of the School or Schools
The UG logo is used in all communications. There are three ways to make the name of the School visible:
1. By using a 'second branding element', an extra slash after the corporate logo followed by the name of the School. The logo files containing these second branding elements are available via the logo database.
The standard UG rules apply for the usage of all logos.
2. By using the corporate logo and the abbreviated name of the School in a broadened logo banner, see the example below. This application is in accordance with the house style rules.
3. Placing the corporate logo and the name in such a way that they become part of the grid in the middle section of the page, as can be seen in the examples.
4. When communicating on behalf of multiple Schools, another option is to use the corporate logo in combination with Schools of Science & Society or Schools voor Wetenschap & Samenleving as a second branding element.
Application of the logos
The regular house style guidelines apply when using the logo. The most important ones are:
-
Due to brand recognition, the corporate UG logo is placed in the top left corner, either with or without a second branding element.
-
Make sure to leave enough white space around the logo.
-
No illustrations and/or text are placed in the imaginary plane of the logo, as shown below.
Social media
For the sake of recognition, the standard cut-out of the UG logo (red on white background) is used, in accordance with the general UG rules.
