Lecture on transgression and leadership
Thursday 20 March saw the first official activity of the new community of our Rosalind Franklin Fellows and Aletta Jacobs Chair holders. The meeting focused on transgression - crossing physical, mental or social boundaries - and the role of leadership in creating a safe environment.
Speaker Janine Meins, author of Silence Pain, provided an interactive session in which she spoke candidly about her experiences with bodily integrity and leadership. She addressed how respecting boundaries, both in and outside the workplace, is crucial for social safety. It was a valuable afternoon full of reflection, dialogue and mutual reinforcement.
