All-gender toilets on campus
Everyone should feel comfortable and welcome on our campus, including when using the restroom. Several all-gender toilets are available across campus for use by anyone, regardless of gender identity or expression. All-gender toilets help create a safe and inclusive environment for everyone. They are available for students, staff, and visitors who prefer or need a restroom that is not labeled strictly male or female.

Accessibility
In some buildings, genderneutral toilets also serve as accessible toilets. These facilities are equipped to accommodate people with physical impairments and are open to anyone who prefers or requires an accessible toilet.
Signage
Sign designs may vary between buildings. Below you can find examples of the different signs used to indicate all-gender toilets.

Availability and further improvements
This overview aims to provide transparent information about the availability of all-gender toilets across the University and to support ongoing efforts to create an inclusive campus environment. At the same time, it also shows that all-gender toilets are not yet widely available across the University. Of the 36 University of Groningen buildings in the city of Groningen, 25 currently do not have an all-gender toilet. The purpose of this list is therefore not to suggest that the University has already achieved full inclusivity, but to offer clear information and highlight where further progress can be made.
