Award to attend a free summer course in California, for students with a migration background

Are you, or do you know, a student with a migration background from one of the countries in Africa, Latin America, or Asia, or Turkey? Apply for, or nominate someone, for the ECHO Award 2024!

Applications and nominations are due by midnight 26 May.

What is the ECHO Award?

The ECHO Award is awarded to students from one of the countries in Africa, Latin America, or Asia, or Turkey, who are actively involved in society and distinguish themselves through innovation in thinking and acting, organizational skills, creating social impact and their role as a 'critical friend'. The winners will be rewarded with a fully catered Summer Course at University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) in the United States in 2025.

The (UG’s internal) application deadline is midnight 26 May. Note that the internal UG application process is slightly different than the ECHO application process.
