Join the University Council!
Are you interested in joining the University Council in the next academic year? The student parties of the University Council are now looking for their successors. Below you can find more information about the parties and how you can apply.
Why join the University Council?
The University Council is by law the highest elected representative body within the university. As a member of the Council, you can make your impact on the universities' policies. Student members of the Council represent the whole student body's voice in the university's decision-making process. In this way, students have the right to be informed, give solicited and unsolicited advice and consent to policy.
As a member of the University council, you will learn more about the processes of education and research, how the university is governed and its financial management.
Through your work in the Council, you will gain valuable experience with:
-
turning your own ideas into policy;
-
negotiating at the highest level;
-
cooperating with students, staff and the Board of the University;
-
developing a critical attitude;
-
building a network within the university.
