Four UG researchers appointed to the Royal Holland Society of Sciences and Humanities

Four professors from the University of Groningen have been appointed members of the Royal Holland Society of Sciences and Humanities. These are the four individuals:

Prof. Martijn Eickhoff, director of NIOD, professor of archaeology and heritage of war and mass violence at the University of Groningen

Prof. Inga Kamp, professor of astronomy at the University of Groningen

Prof. Merel Keijzer, professor of English linguistics and English as a second language, University of Groningen

Prof. Marie-José van Tol, professor of cognitive neuropsychiatry, University of Groningen/UMC Groningen, chair of De Jonge Akademie 2022-2024
About the KHMW
Founded in 1752, the KHMW is the oldest academic society in the Netherlands. The KHMW aims to promote science and build bridges between science and society. They do this by awarding prizes, organizing lectures, debates, and symposia, and publishing publications, among other things. The KHMW is made up of scientific members and social members. New members are nominated by current members and appointed after careful selection.
