Save the date: UG anniversary celebration ‘Making Connections’

22 May 2023

Connections with and between talents, with knowledge partners, societal stakeholders, the region, the world, with you! That is what ‘Making Connections’ is all about. The anniversary celebration of our university in 2024 will be an excellent time to give more shape to this intention.

In exactly one year, from 22 to 25 May 2024, the UG will celebrate its 410th anniversary with events such as lectures, exhibitions, cultural and sporting activities, the Festival of Wonder, and much more. We hope this will encourage cross-disciplinary meetings and conversations and bring people together. Moreover, the anniversary offers opportunities to widely open the UG's doors to the people of the city of Groningen and surrounding areas and alumni, and of course to our staff and students to provide a platform for successful collaborations.

Be sure to attend—one year from now—and celebrate 410 years of UG with us! Will you be joining the countdown too? Check out the Festival of Wonder website, the launch event on 22 May 2024, organized by New Scientist.
