Biomedical relevant layered double hydroxides as versatile drug carriers and nanofillers

Given the appealing physicochemical properties exhibited by LDHs and their potential application value in the biomedical field, it is of immense importance to engage in fundamental research on LDHs in order to deepen our understanding of LDHs and enhance their application potential. In this thesis, in order to further broaden the application scope of LDHs in the biomedical field, the potential of LDHs as a versatile drug delivery system and as a nanofiller for polylactic acid (PLA) were explored.
