Varna, Bulgaria – June 18, 2025
The HyAcademy.EU consortium successfully held its General Assembly on June 17–18, 2025, welcoming over 30 project partners and stakeholders from across Europe. The event took place at the International Hotel Casino & Tower Suites in the picturesque Golden Sands resort, providing the perfect setting for two days of strategic planning, knowledge exchange, and community building.

HyAcademy.EU is a pioneering European initiative aimed at integrating hydrogen technologies into secondary and higher education systems. By offering free, high-quality educational materials, a robust digital platform, and training opportunities for educators, the project seeks to prepare students with the essential skills and knowledge needed to thrive in a hydrogen-powered, sustainable economy.

Highlights from the General Assembly

The General Assembly served as a vital milestone for the consortium, offering a platform to reflect on progress and align on future goals across all Work Packages (WP1–WP7). Key sessions included:

  • Comprehensive work package updates, covering project management, deliverables, reporting, and timelines

  • Insights into complementary EU-funded initiatives such as GreenSkills4H2 and GreenSKHy, both of which support hydrogen skills development

  • A collaborative workshop focused on enhancing the HyAcademy.EU digital platform, including usability testing and upcoming improvements

  • A review of the project’s communication strategy, with emphasis on social media outreach and public engagement

  • Strategic planning for the next phases of the project, setting clear, binding objectives for upcoming deliverables

Looking Ahead

As the HyAcademy.EU project enters its next stages, the consortium remains committed to building a stronger, interconnected network of schools and universities across Europe. Through initiatives like Network 500+ and Network 100+,  the project aims to reach hundreds of institutions, embedding hydrogen knowledge into the heart of STEM education.
