J.J. Kidd Fellowship for Chris May & Ryan Wittingslow
Two of our academic staff members, Chris May and Ryan Wittingslow, received a J.J. Kidd Fellowship from the European Consortium of Liberal Arts and Sciences (ECOLAS) to conduct educational research. Their proposal will build upon their interviews conducted with many UCG staff this semester. They received funding to host lunch think tanks for faculty to collect additional data next academic year. They will also hire a student research assistant to help them transcribe and analyze their data. The tile of their project is “concretising critical thinking”. It seeks to identify specific, behavioral changes associated with a Liberal Arts and Sciences education. Ryan and Chris also plan to further explore what it means to design courses for longer-term learning outcomes. Congratulations to both!
