dr. H.G. (Helco) van Keeken

Helco G. van Keeken (born in the Netherlands, 1973) studied Physical Therapy at the Hogeschool van Amsterdam, from which he graduated in 1997. He was awarded cum laude for his internships. After this study, he worked at the Rehabilitation Department of the Academical Medical Center Amsterdam. From 2002, he worked as a scientific researcher at the University of Groningen, where he did his PhD study, which was part of the project 'Postural Control After Lower Limb Amputation; changes in body representation and the recovery of postural control'. From 2007, he worked a reseacher and a university teacher at the University of Groningen and as of 2021 he is one of the Leading Academic Teachers of the UMCG and programme leader of the two Master Degree programmes of the Department of Human Movement Sciences: Sport Sciences and Human Movement Sciences.
