The Role of Language in the Classroom

In this module, you will reflect on the role of language diversity in the multilingual/diverse classroom and discuss teaching strategies that support learning in such an environment. The aim of this module is to consider the impact of classroom language (Dutch, English, etc.) when taking into account the diversity of students’ and teachers’ first languages and backgrounds, as well as see how we can use this multilingualism in the classroom as a resource.
