eEDM team at Eureka! Science Festival

On 25 September 2026, the eEDM team participated in the Eureka! Science festival, where they triggered interesting discussions on science and technology with a diverse audience. They brought dynamically levitated magnets, pingpong-balls floating above a hair-dryer, charged spores in a dynamic electromagnetic trap and made superconductors float above a permanent magnet race-track. The event was hosted at Forum Groningen and organizing by the University of Groningen. The eEDM team really enjoyed the opportunity to share their excitement about the fundamental research they do with levitated molecules in our labs at the Van Swinderen Institute for Particle Physics and Gravity!
