Understanding and managing environmental problems

This research theme focuses on understanding, forecasting and changing environmentally significant behaviour, in particular household energy use and travel behaviour. Various theoretical frameworks are used, including theories on values, norms, moral behaviour, affect, and goal framing theory. We study factors influencing behaviour, the effects and acceptability of strategies for behaviour change, and the effects of environmental conditions and policies on individual quality of life. Moreover, we have studied environmental sustainability, environmental hazards and risk perception, environmental stress factors, and sustainable corporate performance.
