We are looking for a Tenure Track Assistant Professor or an Associate or Full Professor , depending on your C.V. (see The University of Groningen Career Paths in Science). Your specialization should be in one or more of the areas Topological Data Analysis, Stochastic Geometry and Topology, or Statistical Data Analysis. The research should have a clear relevance to the “Groningen Cognitive Systems and Materials” (CogniGron).
The position we offer is Tenure-track Assistant professor/Associate professor/Full professor in Topological Data Analysis / Stochastic Geometry and Topology / Statistical Data Analysis and will be embedded in the Bernoulli Institute for Mathematics, Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence of FSE, more specifically in the basic unit Probability and Statistics of this Institute. A special feature of the position is that it is part of the Center “Groningen Cognitive Systems and Materials” (CogniGron), which aims to develop systems and materials for cognitive computing. As a consequence, the research area should be relevant for this Center. The research of the Mathematics department of the institute centers around Dynamical Systems and Mathematical Physics, Algebra and Geometry, Probability and Statistics, Systems and Control, and Computational and Numerical Mathematics, keeping a balanced mix of fundamental and applied aspects. Apart from its involvement in CogniGron, the institute participates in the FSE research theme Data Science and Systems Complexity (DSSC).
