BCN Education Advisory Committee

The BCN Education Committee is the advisory committee for the BCN PhD training program. The members of the Education Advisory Committee are both faculty members and PhD representatives from the participating faculties. The chair of the committee holds a tenured position at one of the participating institutes. The Education Advisory Committee gives advice to the director and board and the GSMS Education Committee for improvements or solving challenges.

The Education Advisory Committee facilitates monitoring the PhD program and maintaining its quality. BCN PhD candidates, in addition to their PhD degree from their own graduate school, also receive a BCN training certificate. This certificate is very valuable as it requires a number of course credits and academic activities, so it is a hard-earned one. Hence, we make sure the BCN courses and activities remain relevant, beneficial, not only helping PhD candidates develop academic skills, but also overall professional skills, so that they are best prepared for their future.
