Parking for individuals with a disability

Two parking spaces have been reserved for individuals with a disability at the Academy Building car park.

To reserve one, please contact: / tel. +31 (0)50 363 5250

Please contact the student counselors at the Student Service Centre if you wish to make long-term use of one of these parking spaces. UG staff members can contact their manager about this.

The building has two entrances, both of which are wheelchair-accessible. A lowered threshold was also created at each lecture hall to ensure accessibility.

  • Main entrance: wheelchair-accessible, automatic swing door
  • Side entrance-wheelchair-accessible, ramp + automatic swing door

Disability vehicles cannot access the bicyle parking station underneath the building.

Most of the doors in the Röling building are equipped with a motion sensor and open automatically as soon as someone approaches. However, the doors of individual office spaces must be opened manually.

There are two lifts in the building, at the end of the central hall. These lifts provide access to all floors of the building. You do not need a card to use them.

Central hall layout

The layout of the central hall takes wheelchair users into account. Extra space has been left at the seating areas in the hall, so that wheelchair users can also sit at a table there.

Wheelchair-accessible toilet facilities can be found at the following locations:

  • Ground floor, room 0034
  • Second floor, room 0290

Nursing mothers’ room / first-aid room / prayer room

  • There is a nursing mothers’ room on the ground floor, in room 0090A
  • There is a first-aid room on the ground floor, in room 0031
  • There is no prayer room in the building
