The Board of Examiners and the Programme Committees have a legally mandated role. The Board of Examiners has recently been assigned an important task, namely quality assurance of assessment. Under `Assessment' , it is described how this task is carried out. Although the Board of Examiners is appointed by the Faculty Board, it acts independently. The Programme Committees have an important task in advising on the educational programme ( also in response to the evaluations).

The Board of Examiners deals with the following issues:
- certificates, graduation ceremonies
- mediate in appeal cases
- handle fraud cases
- cum laude regulations
- granting examination authority
- registration for written examinations
- quality assurance testing
