More about Alma
My name is Alma Erenstein, and I am the Faculty Funding Officer.
External funding is important for academic research, and my goal is to create the best conditions for securing it. I assist researchers in navigating the complex landscape of national and European funding, particularly grants and fellowships from NWO, the European Commission, and the European Research Council (ERC).
Awards and memberships are important forms of recognition of academic research. Together with the Director of Research, I advise the Faculty Board on nominations and coordinate this process.
In addition to funding, project management is essential. The Research Office has the expertise to manage consortium projects. The project manager provides support in both the pre-award and post-award phase of these projects.

I support researchers in managing their research data during and after the research project. Data management includes ensuring proper backups, collaborating on data with colleagues or external parties, long-term archiving, and publishing or making the data findable by other researchers (open science).
As a project manager, I am member of the project desk. I support our researchers in applying for, starting, leading, and participating in externally funded consortium projects, e.g. NWO and Horizon Europe projects.
