Prof John Morijn appointed Fellow in Law and Public Policy at Princeton School of Public and International Affairs

John Morijn, professor of law and politics in international relations at our faculty, has been appointed Fellow in Law and Public Policy at Princeton School of Public and International Affairs. During the next academic year there, he will engage in research and teaching in the fields of rule of law protection and democracy.
Multiple jobs
Morijn currently holds several positions. Next to his role as professor of law and politics in international relations at our faculty, he holds a chair endowed by the Netherlands Association for International Affairs (NGIZ). He is also a member of the Dutch Advisory Council on Migration and the Scientific Committee of the EU Fundamental Rights Agency.
Furthermore, Morijn serves as a reserve officer in the rule of law platoon in the Royal Dutch Army. Last but not least, he is the founding mentor of Our Rule of Law, a for-students-by-students initiative that creates opportunities for students to learn about democracy and rule of law protection in Europe.
Research, teaching and Our Rule of Law
The coming academic year will add another position to Morijn’s list, as he will be a visiting scholar at Princeton School of Public and International Affairs. There he will conduct research and teach in the area of rule of law protection and democracy. He will also continue to supervise the activities of Our Rule of Law from there.
Morijn will write a periodic personal newsletter about his experiences in the United States. Those wishing to receive that newsletter can sign up at jm2106 princeton.edu
