Blended Intensive Programmes
... are short, intensive programmes that use innovative ways of learning and teaching, including the use of online cooperation. The intensive programme consists of a short-term physical mobility abroad (usually one week) combined with a compulsory virtual component facilitating collaborative online learning exchange and teamwork. The virtual component must bring the learners together online to work collectively and simultaneously on specific assignments that are integrated in the blended intensive programme and count towards the overall learning outcomes.
If you want to experience studying abroad, but a regular exchange does not fit into your study programme, you might consider participating in a Blended Intensive Programme (BIP).
Requirements
-
The BIP you wish to follow is approved as an extra-curricular course by the Board of Examiners of the Faculty. Please read more on the requirements and how to request such approval here: BoE and BIPs
-
You will participate in both the virtual part and the physical part.
-
You will receive a grade and at least 3 ECTS after finishing the BIP.
-
The grade and ECTS will be recognised at RUG upon completion of the course.
Funding
If you meet the requirements, you are eligible for the Erasmus grant of € 79 per day of the physical mobility and a travel grant depending on the destination and the means of travel. All the formalities are handled through our system Mobility Online (MO). After you have been accepted for the programme, you will have to create an application via this link: Erasmus BIP. In MO, you will be asked to enter your mobility dates (the physical part) and to upload relevant documents. You will also generate your Grant Agreement there, which has to be signed by you and the Exchange Officer of the Faculty, and sign your Learning Agreement digitally through MO.

How can I participate?
Apply for a BIP of your choice. The information about the BIPs offered by our partner universities is often posted on the Nice to Know. If one of our professors helps to organise the programme, he or she could also promote it during their course.
The BIPs offered by memebers of the ENLIGHT group are available on this RUG website: ENLIGHT BIPS
IMPORTANT: to avoid invalid applications, please request the approval of the Board of Examiners before you apply.
