It was a great time for me studying in Groningen, both interesting and useful! Interesting because I had an opportunity to discover a new culture, to see the world from another angle, learn a different tempo of life, meet lots of interesting people from all over the world including people from countries I would never find in my area such as Peru, Mauritius, Argentina, Zimbabwe, and Vietnam, and with whom I could discuss and learn different opinions first-hand about Tamils and Singhalese, Yugoslavian wars, Apartheid in South Africa, Basks in Spain and many other interesting facts. It was extremely useful, because I could learn from and ask questions to experienced and famous professors, easily find almost any book and article in English and find a library equipped and organised to serve the requirements of students the best. Holland was also a great place to live for study, as Dutch people are very open-minded, intelligent and ready to help!
