The Dialogue: Bridging the Divine Divide

The Dialogue is an independent magazine created as part of the Honours Programme at the University of Groningen. The magazine features stories that illuminate the diversity of the human experience in the 21st century. By inviting round-table conversations among the academic and public spheres, scientific disciplines, and individual worldviews, each issue explores perspectives on globally relevant matters in the social sciences.
The Dialogue’s first issue, Bridging the Divine Divide, focuses on the relationship between religion and mental health care, examining both the tensions and possibilities for collaboration between the two healing systems. Through interviews, literature reviews, and independent research, we inquire into topics such as the secular bias in healthcare, religious coping, and therapeutic interventions, where religion lies at the center of healing.
