Centers of expertise at BSS
Recently, five centers of expertise have been established within the faculty. In these centers, researchers from various basic units, together with partners from the field, are engaged in research, education and advice in the field of current social issues.
Within the Faculty of Behavioral and Social Sciences, there is plenty of collaboration with others inside and outside the university. Think of collaborations with other basic units or faculties, but also with organizations such as FC Groningen, the Ministry of Defense, the UMCG and WIJ Groningen.
These special collaborations have recently been clustered into five centers of expertise. The centers are engaged in research, education, and advice in the field of current social themes: health and welfare, diversity, talent development and better assistance to families with complex problems.
The five centers of expertise are:
- Families with multiple and complex problems
- Social sciences, health and well-being
- Talent development
- LGBTQIA+ research (website follows soon)
- Interaction in the diverse classroom (website follows soon)
