NWO funding for publishing open access books
Open Access has become an established practice for academic articles, but this is not yet the case for academic books. NWO launched a funding instrument especially for NWO researchers who wish to publish their books in Open Access.
Researchers who wish to publish a book or edited collection open access can apply for this funding, on condition that their research was also funded by NWO. A maximum of 10,000 euros is available for each project to pay the Book Publishing Charge (BPC). Applications can be made on a continuous basis.
