Registration now open for Dutch and English language courses in autumn 2020!

The Language Centre of the University of Groningen will be offering many English and Dutch courses again in September! Below you can see which courses are on offer.
Please note that all courses starting in September will be taught online. Read all about these Language Centre online courses here.

English courses

• 21, 22 & 24 September - General English Skills
  Group courses in English for beginners to advanced learners.
• 21 & 24 September - English for professionals, Speaking
  For those who want to increase their confidence and effectively give presentations or attend meetings in English.
• 24 September & 10, 12 November - English for professionals, Writing
  For the successful writing of emails, policy documents, reports and other professional communication.
• 21 & 23 September - English Academic Writing Skills
  For writing papers and essays in English.
• 10 September - Publishing in English
  For PhD students who are writing a thesis in English or who write articles in English.

Dutch courses

• Start of September - Dutch group courses
  In the first two weeks of September, group courses in Dutch will begin at various levels.
• 31 August - 3 September - Dutch courses for PhDs' and postdocs
  Dutch group courses at four different levels paid for by the UG for UG students, PhDs' and postdocs.
• 31 August - 3 September - Dutch courses for native speakers of German
  Dutch group courses at four different levels the UG may reimburse course fees for UG students, PhD students and postdocs.
• 3 September - Conversational courses up to A2 and B1
  Courses with a specific focus on conversational skills.
• 14 & 15 September - Dutch civic integration courses
  Three Dutch courses for newcomers start again in September.
• 15 September - Dutch beginners' course for UG staff members
  A Dutch course from level 0>A2, only available for UG staff members.
• 16 September - Writing Skills B2
  We will pay attention to paragraph structure, word choice, grammatical correctness and spelling.
• 17 September - Oral Skills B2
  Various conversation situations will be practised and attention is paid to grammatical correctness.
• 6 October - Dutch for the international workplace
  For those who want to master the dos and don’ts of Dutch language use in the workplace.
• 1 & 15 October - Online courses in Dutch for doctors and dentists
  Dutch courses geared towards your medical career in the Netherlands.
• 1 & 15 October - Online Dutch
  Online Dutch courses at 8 different levels.
• 15 October - Orientation to the Dutch Labour Market (ONA)
  Candidates for civic integration who are required to follow the Orientation to the Dutch Labour Market component.
• Dutch for native speakers
  We offer a workshop Spelling, a workshop Style and an Academic Writing Skills course in Dutch for native speakers in September or October. Keep an eye on our website for registration!
