ISPIM Best Dissertation Prize won by Amber Geurts
Amber Geurts has won the International Society for Professional Innovation Management 2018 Dissertation Award with a PhD thesis entitled Firm Responses to Disruptive Innovations: Evidence from the music industry. The presentation ceremony, where Geurts also received a prize of €2500, was held on 18 June. One of her chapters will feature in the latest book in the Vernon Press Innovation Series.
Amber Geurts successfully defended her thesis in October 2017. Her supervisors were Wilfred Dolfsma and Thijs Broekhuizen. She is currently working as a postdoctoral researcher at Aalto University in Helsinki.
Innovation Management Dissertation Award
The ISPIM Innovation Management Dissertation Award is an annual prize given to the student with the best PhD dissertation on innovation management. Close to a hundred submissions are considered each year. This year’s runner-ups were Agnieszka Radziwon (Aarhus University) and Peter Oeij (TNO/Open University).The event was hosted at the Vasa Museum in Stockholm.
