Our two-year Double Degree Master's Marketing and Finance allows students to challenge themselves by focusing on the impact of digitalization on marketing. You will also learn how to use advanced statistical techniques in a responsible way to analyze data and design and evaluate marketing strategy.

To take part in this programme, you first need to study MSc Marketing: Marketing Analytics and Data Science (MADS) in Groningen, during which you can apply to study at Universität Münster in Germany.

In Groningen, you will follow the Marketing Analytics and Data Science (MADS) profile of our MSc Marketing programme, focusing on advanced marketing research methods and marketing modelling. You will also write a Master's thesis.

After the first semester, you can apply for the add-on year in Münster. Selection will take place based on grades and motivation.

Registration procedure

You can only apply for this double degree programme after you successfully completed the first semester of the MSc Marketing: Marketing Analytics and Data Science profile. The first step is to apply for the MSc in Marketing. Students have to first apply via Studielink and then the Progress Portal of the University of Groningen. After you apply for the programme of your choice, the Admissions Office will evaluate your educational background and assess your eligibility. Your application will be assessed on an individual basis. More information on how to apply. After having completed the first semester, you will need to still go through a selection procedure to be admitted to the second year at our double degree partner university.

After your studies

The skills developed in data science and designing marketing strategy allows you to take up positions such as data analyst at a research or consultancy company, business intelligence specialist, marketing automation consultant, or database marketeer in global firms. Both positions are focused on marketing or big data.

Meanwhile, your background in finance will also enable you to pursue a career in decision-making within private companies, financial institutions, consultancy firms, or institutional organisations.

You could also become a researcher at a university by doing a Research Master's and/or a PhD programme.
