Rising uptake of open access at the UG/UMCG
The overall share of open access publications rose from 37% in 2016 to 64% in 2019. This means that in total 4.244 publications have become openly accessible to the public last year - including gold, hybrid or green open access.
The Faculty of Science and Engineering together with the Faculty of Spatial Sciences registered the highest share of open access publications (70% of their respective total publications).
