Teaching and Examination Regulations (TER)
Each degree programme, or cluster of degree programmes, has a set of Teaching and Examination Regulations (TER) [Onderwijs en Examenregeling (OER) in Dutch]. This is a legal document that defines the most important rules and regulations and the curriculum of the degree programme. The Board of Examiners of a degree programme often uses the TER as one of their basic 'law books' to judge student requests to the Board.
In the Rules and Regulations, the Board of Examiners set out the more specific details about the rules and regulations that apply to the examinations within the degree programmes.
