"Afzichtkaarten"

The touristic paradox: we all look for a feeling of authenticity on vacation, but because we all clump together at the same destinations, these places become less authentic. “Afzichtkaarten” are a comedic way to create openness around this topic.

Doina Rusu, Beyond the Lab

Over 400 years ago, citizen science, science outside of a lab, was already being practiced, albeit in a different form, as universities did not yet exist. Doina Rusu is researching the birth of modern science. During the Beyond the Lab exposition she introduced people to the wonderful world of 16^th-century science and scientific explanations.

Night of the Philosophy

Every April, the month of the philosophy, the Faculty of Philosophy works together with the Forum Groningen and the Studium Generale to organize the Night of the Philosophy. This event, which sells out every year, is thé opportunity for people outside the university to become familiar with what the researchers at our faculty actually do.
