Jenny van Doorn appointed as Associate Editor of the Journal of Marketing

Professor Jenny van Doorn was recently appointed associate editor of the Journal of Marketing. Apart from being appointed as associate editor, Van Doorn is also one of the recipients of the Outstanding Reviewer Award from the Journal of Marketing for 2025.
The Journal of Marketing (JM) is a peer-reviewed journal that is published by the American Marketing Association (AMA). JM develops and disseminates knowledge about real-world marketing questions useful to scholars, educators, managers, policy makers, consumers, and other societal stakeholders. It's the top resource for in-depth marketing research. Since it was founded in 1936, JM has played a big role in shaping the content and boundaries of the marketing discipline.
Van Doorn is Professor of Services Marketing at the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) and Board Member of FEB’s Center for Public Health in Economics and Business. As a researcher, she strives to be on the forefront of new developments and is passionate about discovering consumers' reactions to societal transitions. Her research focuses on the use of new technology in the service frontline, sustainability and food waste. Currently, she is fascinated by the use of social service robots and their acceptance by consumers as the next frontier of societal transitions. Van Doorn is honoured to be appointed as associate editor and recognized as outstanding reviewer. “Serving the editorial team of the flagship journal of our field is a great honour and pleasure, and a great learning experience.”
