Appointments of and awards for FEB researchers

Over the summer, several researchers of the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) have been appointed to different boards or have won awards.
Associate Professor Orest Iftime has joined the Editorial Board of the European Control Conference 2024, the conference of the European Control Association (EUCA).
Associate Professor Ward Romeijnders has been elected as member of COSP (the Committee on Stochastic Programming), the governing board of the international Stochastic Programming Society, during the 2023 International Conference on Stochastic Programming in Davis (US).
At the 30th EurOMA (European Operations Management Association) Conference in Leuven (Belgium), Assistant Professor Aline Seepma was appointed as a new board member for the EurOMA Board for three years.
At the XXXIV ISPIM (International Society for Professional Innovation Management) Innovation Conference in Ljubljana (Slovenia) Associate Professor Eelko Huizingh was appointed as Fellow of the International Society for Professional Innovation Management (ISPIM). ISPIM is a community of members from research, industry, consulting and the public sector, all sharing a passion for innovation management. Formed in Norway in 1983, ISPIM is the oldest, largest and most active truly global innovation network.
Awards and prizes
At the Academy of Management Annual Meeting 2023 in Boston, Curtis Goldsby (Rotterdam School of Management), Assistant Professor Marvin Hanisch (FEB), and Helge Klapper (Purdue University) received the Distinguished Paper Award from the Strategic Management Division for their paper, "The Hidden Influences of Blockchain Governance: A Study of Organizational Imprinting." The award is given to select conference paper submissions that are rated in the top 1% by the reviewers.
Assistant Professor Eugenia Rosca received the Chris Voss Best Paper Award Runner-Up (also known as the Highly Commended Award) at the European Operations Management (EurOMA) in Leuven in July 2023. The paper by Eugenia Rosca and Kelsey Taylor (University of Manitoba, Canada) is titled: Delivering societal impact through supply chain design: insights from B Corps. The paper has been recently published at the International Journal of Operations & Production Management.
