Harry Garretsen appointed to the NWO Social Sciences and Humanities Board
Prof. Harry Garretsen has been appointed as a member of the NWO Domain Board for Social Sciences and Humanities (SGW) for a three-year term. Garretsen, Professor of International Economics and Business at the University of Groningen, was nominated by the deans of Economics and Business of the Dutch universities.
‘I am currently the only representative of Economics and Business on the Domain Board – and the only one from Groningen. I am honoured that I can use my background to contribute, on this Board and at the NWO, to further improving Dutch research across the spectrum of social sciences and humanities’, says Garretsen. ‘I’m looking forward to it. And I think that I can be of value to researchers in the social sciences and humanities as a member of the Domain Board for the next three years, not only through my own research experience, but also thanks to my administrative experience in academia.’
