Canadian grant for FEB's dr. Jennifer Jordan to study how people "moralize" the world
Dr. Jennifer Jordan of the Faculty of Economics and Business has received a grant of 70,000 dollars from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of the Canadian government. The member of the department of Human Resource Management & Organizational Behavior recieved her grant to study what she and her collaborator term "moralization," that is how much people view the world through a "moral lens", and how this then affects their environmental conservation behavior.
"Of course, I am delighted and honored to receive this prestigious grant, says Jordan. "This way we get the possibility to better understand the individual-difference factors that explain people's moral behavior. And we hope that this research will have meaningful implications for developing methods to encourage environmental conservation."
Jordan will conduct her research togehther with her collegaue from the University of Toronto, Dr. Nina Mazar.
Curriculum vitae
Dr. Jennifer Jordan is a social psychologist at the FEB since 2009. She was granted her PhD at Yale in 2005 and worked at Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College until 2007 and Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University in Chicago until 2009.
