Two bachelors, four masters of FEB voted best programmes by students | Elsevier research

Two BSc programmes and four MSc programmes of the Faculty of Economics and Business were assessed as the best in the country by students: the bachelors Bedrijfskunde (Business Administration) and International Business and the masters HRM, Marketing, Finance and Econometrics, Operations Research and Actuarial Studies. Besides, all four Bachelors of FEB are in the top 3. This is the conclusion in the ‘best degree programmes’ ranking list based on a survey conducted annually by the journal Elsevier.

The University of Groningen has been assessed by Dutch professors and associate professors as the second-best comprehensive university in the Netherlands. This means Groningen has climbed two places in the ‘best degree programmes’ ranking list. Students ranked the University of Groningen in third place among the comprehensive universities. Elsevier primarily assesses the quality of teaching.

Degree programmes

In the Elsevier survey, students were asked to assess their degree programme and their university on the facilities available, the design of the degree programme, the quality of teaching and of lecturers, the testing, and the internal organization and communication. The FEB BSc programmes bedrijfskunde and international business are in first place of 5 alike programmes in the Netherlands.
The Master’s degree programmes are more difficult to assess. Many Master’s programmes are unique or were not assessed. Among the Master’s degree programmes that were assessed, four FEB programmes came top of the list. HRM with a satisfaction score of 68, Marketing with 69, Finance with 75 and Econometrics, Operations Research and Actuarial Studies with 67. The Master’s degree programmes were not assessed by professors.
