About us FEB Education Student Support Desk Frequently asked questions Bachelor student / FEB Courses and Exams

Course registration

  • What's the deadline for course registration?

  • The course registration is closed. How can I still register?

  • How can I find out what the electives are for my study?

This depends on which programme you are doing. Find out everything about your programme on Ocasys.

    Ask your question

  • What prerequisites do I have to meet for the course of my choice?

All course information, including prerequisites, is available on Ocasys.

    Ask your question

  • I can't register for a course. It says "max 4".

This means that you are registered for the maximum of 4 courses per block. You can solve this problem by deregistering for courses that you do not or no longer take. If you wish to take more than 4 courses, please ask permission from your programme coordinator. Next you visit the Student Support Desk with the proof of permission (for example an email). The Student Support Desk will enroll you for the course units in question. If you are registered for two bachelor or master programmes at the Faculty Economics and Business, you do not need to ask for permission from the programme coordinator. You can visit the Student Student Desk straight away.

    Ask your question

  • I can't access the course information on Nestor. What can I do?

Make sure you are registered for the course on ProgressWWW. If you do not have access to the course information on Nestor after 24 hours, please contact the teacher.

    Ask your question

  • I haven't completed my first year yet. Can I already take second-year courses?

  • I do not yet have a student number and password (computer account). How do I start my studies?

Make sure you've got your books, attend the lectures and tell the teacher you do not have an account yet. Contact fellow students who can access their accounts. You can also access Nestor with a guest account: be-student (both login and password). This way you can view the course information. Make sure your enrolment is completed as soon as possible. Enrolling in courses and exams on ProgressWWW and logging in on your RUGmail account is only possible after your enrolment is complete.

    Ask your question

  • Can I take a Dutch course during my stay in Groningen?

The Language Centre offers courses in Dutch for non-native speakers at various levels. The courses are designed for people who have followed higher education. Please find more information about the levels/schedules and rates at the website of the Language Centre. We would like to especially point out the course Social Dutch: in four 2-hour meetings, you will learn several Dutch words and phrases that will help you get by in everyday situations.
  • I am a student at another Dutch institution of Higher Education and I would like to take a course at FEB. How do I register?
