Is it possible to receive my degree certificate by post at my home address?
For security reasons we normally do not send degree certificates by post. The degree certificate is issued only once, that's why we prefer to hand it over to you in person, either at a degree ceremony or at the Student Support Desk. In case you have no way of receiving your degree certificate yourself, you can authorize somebody to pick up your certificate for you. The person you authorized needs to present the following documents to the Student Support Desk:
- a filled out authorizationform for collecting documents which you can download here: http://student.portal.rug.nl/infonet/studenten/feb/arrange-straight-away
- a copy of your identity card or passport
- his or her own identity card or passport
When these documents are presented, we will hand over the degree certificate to the person you authorized. We keep your authorization letter in your file.
In some cases it is however possible to send the diploma to an address. To request this please contact: graduation.feb@rug.nl. If the request is approved the student needs to sign the 'risk acceptance form', if the diploma gets lost the university is not responsible.
