Education Master's Master's international students Admission and Application

Starting dates Master's degree programmes

In accordance with the Bachelor-before-Master rule (known in Dutch as the 'harde knip') you may only start a Master's degree programme once you have gained a Bachelor's degree. This means that you must have successfully completed all course units in your Bachelor's degree programme. This rule applies to all students, including those on the pre-Master's and bridging programmes.

In addition, Master's degree programmes have a number of set starting dates. This means that you may only register for a Master's degree programme as of one of these dates and you will not be able to start the programme if you have not registered and paid your tuition fees by that date.
