Curie


The curie (Ci) is the old unit of activity (A) and equal to the activity of 1 gram of 226Ra. The unit is named after the Polish-French physicist and chemist Maria Salomea Skłodowska (1867 - 1934) and her husband, the French physicist and chemist Pierre Curie (1859 - 1906).
