How to write a convincing Rubicon proposal

The University of Groningen Talent Development team will organize training for PhD students and Postdocs who plan to submit their Rubicon proposal.

Please note : similar trainings will be offered well before each of the Rubicon deadlines.


Intended for	PhD students and Postdocs who plan to submit their Rubicon proposal in the upcoming round.
Programme	Writing a compelling title and abstract, a persuasive host section, a competitive CV, and a convincing Knowledge Utilization paragraph Knowing, engaging and convincing NWO-officers and panel members
What you should have done prior to the course start	A Rubicon grant proposal should be supported, both financially and in writing, by your supervisor in the top host institute of your choice. Prior to enrolling in this course, your host should have become aware of the financial paragraphs would you join his/her research group, and should have written the requested support letter – see the NWO website NWO Rubicon for more information. Assignment to send in 1 week prior to course start : Participants should have ready in the actual Rubicon proposal template: title summary CV knowledge utilization/dissemination paragraph host institute paragraph A temporary dropbox link will be made available for upload at least one week prior to course start.

Course fee	€ 250,- * (including lunch and refreshments) * PhD Scholarship students who cannot cover the costs with their PhD training budget can request a reduction in course costs. Please indicate if this applies to you in the registration form and we will contact you with more information.
