Academic leadership II

Developing as a strategic leader

As an associate professor or full professor, you will be leading a larger team with more experienced academics, and you will have various internal and external stakeholders to deal with. Managing takes time, and you also need time for your research. A lot is demanded and expected from academic leaders. How can you bring your group of people to a higher level? How can you inspire them to get the best out of themselves? How do you create support for your ideas? How do you connect people, the UG, and the world with each other? This practically oriented four-day training course focuses not only on operational leadership but particularly also on strategic and contextual leadership.

Programme

The training course consists of two blocks of two days each. The first two days will be devoted to increasing your knowledge and skills, which you will subsequently apply to your everyday practice. In the second block, we will work on vision and strategy and look at systems.
