UCF Final Week: see you again in August!
Each year, the UCF community wraps up the academic year with a last week in which we look back and forward, finalise academic projects, and enjoy each others' company before heading into the well-deserved summer break. Even though this year's Final Week had to be moved online, there was still plenty to engage in over the course of the five days.
On Monday, we started off with two inspiring sessions about working for the United Nations with Jacques Buith and Bas van Rossum of Deloitte, and Ruben Zondervan of the Earth System Governance Foundation. The next day, prospective students had the chance to meet each other as well as our current students and ask all the questions they still had about joining the UCF community. Wednesday was dedicated to (self)reflection on the past year, with a Leadership training by Elena Cavagnaro and Indira van der Zande. And on Thursday the second-year students themselves took charge of the presentations in the Living Lab Conference in which they showcased the results of their respective research internships.
On Friday, students met their Academic Advisors for the last time of the year, before everyone joined together in the Wrap-Up session to celebrate the end fo the academic year and to say goodbye before the summer. Although we can all agree that we've been faced with unprecedented challenges over the year, the UCF community is still thriving, and we are already counting down the days till we will see each other again in August. Happy holidays!
