Jan Maarten van Dijl (Medical Sciences)
The MSc programs ‘Medical and Pharmaceutical Drug Innovation’ (MPDI) and ‘International Master in Innovative Medicine’ (IMIM) focus on the education and training of future researchers in the area of Biomedical Sciences (http://www.groningenbiomed.com). Both are selective admission Master programs with a strong international signature. While MPDI addresses the pathophysiology of disease and the design, development and delivery of novel drugs, IMIM addresses translational biomedical research. My Teaching Excellence Fellowship will be used to integrate the two curricula so that the students involved can attend modules of both programmes, participate in exchange programmes, and learn to do research in an international setting.
