To define the best treatment for scoliosis, a curved spine, frequent monitoring is essential. X-ray is commonly used, but limited by radiation risk and 2D-representation. Ultrasound could offer an excellent alternative. This thesis presents a framework to monitor scoliosis progression using ultrasound and focuses on posture reproducibility and improving 3D-ultrasound image quality.
