From dialogue to action

Review of follow-up working conference on social safety
22 October 2024

On Monday 21 October 2024, the follow-up meeting of the Social Safety Working Conference took place in the Tammes Room of the University Library. During this afternoon, 20 employees interacted with each other about what it takes to create a socially safe, inclusive, and respectful university together.

Diverge, emerge, converge

Building on input from the May working conference, the meeting focused on deepening the discussion and making ideas more concrete. Groups worked around five central themes linked to social safety. This also focused on the nature of dialogue: from divergence (idea generation), to emergence (making relevant - sometimes conflicting - perspectives visible), to convergence (action-oriented choices).
