To effectively protect yourself from cyber attacks, it is important to understand the attackers' mindset and strategies. During this lecture (in Dutch), Anthony van der Meer, investigative journalist and documentary filmmaker, reveals his methods for deviously ambushing cybercriminals with their own tactics. Anthony shares real-life examples that illustrate how he uses these criminals' methods to expose their operations. By infiltrating deeply and using their own tactics against them, he offers a unique and enlightening look at the practices of cyber criminals.

Anthony van der Meer

Anthony is a filmmaker, investigative journalist and Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) researcher for Nieuwsuur. Since 2015, he has focused as a filmmaker on the dark side of the digital world, diving deep into cybercriminals and hunting cybercriminals himself. This resulted in several successful documentaries and a TV show. In addition to his media work, he shares his cyber knowledge as an academy associate at the Clingendael Institute.
