General Administrative & Legal Affairs (AJBZ)
General Administrative & Legal Affairs (Dutch abbreviation ABJZ) engages in processing general administrative matters and legal issues, including:

advising boards on governance organizations, such as control of management, conflict resolution, organizational changes and appointments
-
guiding the implementation of education legislation such as the Law on Higher Education and Scientific Research Act (WHW) and other laws and regulations relevant to the University of Groningen
-
providing support in drafting rules and regulations, including administrative and management regulations, faculty and examination regulations
-
designing arrangements, such as the Data Protection Regulations and the Conditions archive
-
handling of appeals and objections
-
the preparation and conduct of all legal and judicial procedures of the university
-
dealing with matters of private law, such as drafting or reviewing contracts with third parties
-
dealing with matters concerning contract research
NB: ABJZ is not for students. Students have to go to their student advisor, exam committee of programme committee. Always go to your student advisor first!
